Being and working as a pilot or an air traffic controller is a dream to so many people, but before you make this dream come true you need to decide what you want to fly. There are rules and regulations to get a pilot’s license or an air traffic controller’s license.

You first need that to choose among:

  • Airplanes
  • Helicopters
  • Gyroplanes
  • Gliders
  • Balloons
  • Airships
European Aviation Safety Agency.( EASA )

  • Student pilot’s certificate.
  • Private pilot’s certificate. ( PPL )
  • Commercial pilot’s certificate. ( CPL )
  • Airline transport pilot’s certificate
  • First class. ( ATPL-CPL-PPL-Student )
  • Second class. ( PPL-Student )
  • Third class. ( Air traffic controllers )

You can get this part done by one of two methods:

  • Distance learning. ( Self-Study )
  • Ground classes.

And when you are ready you can take the theoretical test and score at least 75% in order to pass.

Each one of the licenses has some requirements and one of these requirements is flight hours.

Private Pilot’s License. ( PPL )

  • To have a private pilot’s license issued you need to log at least 45 hours of flying.
  • You need to be at least 17 years old.
  • You need to be able to read, write,speak and understand the English language.

Commercial pilot’s license. ( CPL )

  • To have a commercial pilot’s license issued you need to log at least 200 flight hours on airplanes or 150 flight hours on helicopters.
  • You need to be at least 18 years old.
  • You need to be able to read, write,speak and understand the English language.

Airline transport pilot’s licence. ( ATPL )

  • To have an airline transport pilot’s license issued you need to log at least 1500 flight hours in airplanes and 1000 flight hours on helicopters.
  • You need to be at least 21years old.
  • You need to be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
